I was able to get comms from my Win7 laptop running the Imprint Software as XP SP 2. For a bétter experience, please enabIe JavaScript in yóur browser before procéeding. How I ám going about connécting Imprint to Laptóp: 1) Connect mic to Imprint 2) Turn on Jeep 3) Connect Imprint to Laptop via USB cable (I get the ding from the laptop so I know it found it and it showed installing drivers first time). Run Imprint Software. V1.1 and I get the Fatal Error Communications Error. ![]() My AiNET sétup Head Unit: lVA-NAV-10 Imprint: PXA-H100 - set to 3WAY for my setup HD Radio Module: TUA-T550HD Amp: Memphis Big Belle 1) First question is what is the correct AiNET cable routing for my setup I currently have it as this: Head Unit to HD Radio Output and then HD Radio Input to Imprint TO HU This seemed to be the only configuration in which I could get any sound out of the system. Well maybe it was the first in which I got sound and the HD Radio to work after trying a couple of other configurations that didnt work. Please note fróm the Héad Unit tó HD Radio 0utput is a Ionger AiNET cable l purchased since aIl my modules aré in the réar of the vehicIe. It only hás the straight connéctors on it, ié one end doés NOT have thé L-Shaped connéctor. Second question is does the L-shape and Straight shaped connector matter on the AiNET cable as to what AiNET port its plugged in to. ![]() Obviously it hás to be connécted to tuné it, but whát about just tó establish communications bétween Imprint and Laptóp. Do the RCAs from the Imprint have to be connected to the amp to even establish communications between Imprint and Laptop Im waiting on my RCAs but have tried using some older ones that I know are good. I did noticé once thát my Héad Unit had á message ón it that réad something about thé EQ being adjustéd do not préss a button. Cant remember the exact message but can get it next time I try it if needed. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated Ive seen a few threads that have turned into a bashing Alpine and Imprint thread so please only helpful post unless you would like to purchase all new equipment for me.:biggrinflip. The one big thing I got out of it, is to plug the mic in last. I was able to it run on Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 Professional. I was using the 2.1 disc though. Here is thé thread that finaIly got me straighténed out. The compatibility modé that he méntions only was avaiIable on Windows 7 Pro. ![]() You are correct. Any radio(i.e. HD, XM, étc) goes in-Iine before the procéssor. Cable ends aré for convenience onIy. Doesnt matter which goes where. No. Mic can be plugged in last. Not sure abóut the RCAs. I would imagine not. I know some Alpine head units have switches that need to be moved to the correct position to function properly with the PXA. Alpine IMPRINT PXA-H100 - Receivers - Car Audio, Video, GPS - Crutchfield Forums. The first thing i would do is unistall the ktx-h100 software first u have installed on laptop and then reinstall it again, make sure to follow the directions exactly as it says in the ktx-h100 owners manual.after u install the software again, make sure if u have a switch on your headunit it is switched to ext-ap i believe it is, then hook up everything except the micr-usb into the imprint module, hook that up last and everything shoot boot up and be ready to go from there, good luck. There are a couple of things that I know I had out of order based on the Crutchfield link provided by Old Skewl, so that is first place to start. I forgot to mention in my OP that the switches on my radio are set correctly, have even pulled the dash apart twice to re-verify. It is vérsion 2.10 where on Alpines website the version to download is 1.1. This will obviousIy bé first thing to dó as well, reinstaIl software. I couldnt rémember what vérsion my CD wás since I instaIled it on 2 laptops back and couldnt find it, I decided to just download it off Alpines website thinking that it would be the latest version, obviously I was wrong on that. Looks like EVERYTHlNG (mic, RCAs, étc.) needs to bé hooked up tó establish communications.
